Summer Dogs
I love grilling up some hot dogs during the summer. Sometimes you don’t want to worry about dinner and just throw some dogs on the grill. I was having one of those days, but I figured I should make use out of some produce I had in my fridge. You can literally throw anything on a hot dog and not screw it up that much lol.
The Mango Dog
I thought it would be fun to try adding some fruit as a topping for a sweet and savory flavor. I love mango salsa with tortilla chips, so it’s kind of the same idea.
Toppings
Cubed mango
Diced tomato
Diced onion
Chopped cilantro
Chopped lettuce for an added crunch
The Greek Dog
I wanted to make something refreshing and I feel like tzatziki sauce adds freshness to a lot of dishes. So here is The Greek Dog.
Toppings
Chopped tomatoes
Cubed avocados
Alfalfa sprouts
Top with tzatziki sauce.
Tzatziki Sauce Ingredients
2 cups plain Greek yogurt
4 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
1 large cucumber, grated or finely diced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1-2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
